Isadoras Gourmet Goods Review and Giveaway

Isadoras Gourmet Goods Review and Giveaway

Isadora's Gourmet Goods is created from a farm that lies along the Columbia River in Washington. It is a family business, that, from veggie and fruit gardens,  makes wonderful, healthful certified organic products.

This is certainly one of my favorite new shops! I had so much fun reviewing this lovely shop.  The flavors sooth your spirit and make your taste-buds so happy! But not only that, the scents from the lavender infused items invigorated your senses!

I am so excited when I here about a sustainable shop... I love to garden, but am not able to get much from it.  So when someone dedicates so much to creating their product, it means so much more when you take the time to enjoy it.

First we had a chance to review some jam.

This is the Organic Lavender Jam

 LOVE this!!

It is smooth, fragrant, and yummy.  I cannot believe how good it is.  While you can put this on many things, I learned my favorite thing to put it on is homemade biscuits!!  It has a wonderful fresh flavor.

No junk!! Only the freshest ingredients. I think it is wonderful that Isadora's grows what they put in their products.  I can just imagine the rows of lavender that are growing to put in this wonderful jam!

Our beets are ready to be eaten... and eaten they were!  They were better than I remember my great grandmother's pickled beets to be.  I don't know how, but these were pickled to perfection.

 We marinated the chicken...

Ok, so here's where I oops-ed.  The chicken smell and looked SO GOOD...

I forgot to get a picture of the finished product!!! We just wanted to eat it and I forgot!

So, ----insert beautifully cooked chicken that smells delicious and tastes even better here----- (how is that possible??!!  It smells amazing!)

But, the flavor was spot on.  So, so delish!!  The best Sesame Ginger glaze we have had to date!

Isadoras Gourmet Goods has many other different items as well... from Organic Lavender Honey Mustard to Bistro Dressing and Organic Pepper Jelly, you can certainly find something to add to your table!  Be sure to check them out!

Squeasy Review and Giveaway

Squeasy Review and Giveaway
Squeasy is a new product that is so cool! They are reusable pouches, that are dishwasher safe.

Look at how cute these are! My kids LOVE the colors!

These are great for applesauce, yogurt, and smoothies for sure! Also will be great for water, milk, and juice on the go. But the possibilities are really endless when it comes to what you can put in these. I can totally see my kids coming up with some cool ideas on what to fill them with!

I love the "feeling" of these pouches as well. They are so soft, perfect for little hands. They are
100% food-grade silicon and BPA, PVC, and Phthalate Free!

Plus, you can put them in the freezer! They are so perfect not only for at home use, but they are going to be amazing in the kids lunch packs!

This is how everything comes apart.

It not only comes apart easily, but it goes together just as easy! That is fantastic, because I don't want to waste time putting things like this together. This is fast, easy, and super convenient.

Peanut Butter Pie

Peanut Butter Pie

I love a creamy peanut butter pie in the hot summer! They are incredibly easy to make and super delicious.

Here is one that I had from a family recipe that my grandmother used.  It seems most peanut butter pie recipes are pretty much the same, but I love how simple this one is. It doesn't take many ingredients which makes is doubly easy.

So here goes!

You'll need a graham cracker crust (personally, store bought works just fine, but you can make your own if you wish).

A cup of peanut butter
A cup and a half of powdered sugar
A cup of milk
1 package of cream cream(softened)

I like to use my kitchen aid mixer to mix this really well. You want it very smooth.

Next, add one container (softened as well) of whipped topping

I mix this gently with my other ingredients in my kitchen aid(do not over mix). It makes for a smooth consistency that is super creamy.

Next, just pop in it the freezer... overnight is best.  You will want to use a warm knife to make cutting easier through the frozen pie.

Yum!

Pumpkin Waffles

Pumpkin Waffles
We love waffles...  slathered in butter and syrup; maybe sometimes with some fruit on top.
These pumpkin waffles are one of our favorites that we make together. They are so easy and extraordinarily delicious.

So here's what we put together on a weekend breakfast!

2 cups of flour
 2 tb of brown sugar
 1tb of baking powder
 1 t salt
1 tb cinnamon
 1/2 t vanilla
 1/4 t ginger
 1/4 t nutmeg
 2 eggs
 1 1/2 cups of milk
 1 cup of pumpkin
 2 tb coconut oil
Mix together & cook on your waffle iron until done.
Yummy!

Blueberry Pie

 Blueberry Pie

This is an easy (seriously) delicious pie recipe that you can throw together in a pinch.

Just grab a store bought pie crust (hey, even my great grandmother would have said that is just fine
because there are other things you can be doing!)
About 3 1/2 cups of blueberries, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of sugar (granulated), an egg, a teaspoon of vanilla and about a tablespoon of flour.

Mix it all together gently but thoroughly.  Put your first crust down and then fill it with your filling!

Cut out a little lattice top for your pie, place it atop your filling then brush it with some melted butter and sprinkle a little layer of sugar (granulated).

Pop it in the over, 375 degrees for about 45 minutes (now, this will depend on your over - they are all different!)

It should come out looking delicious & tasting even better!
